History abounds!

The region around Chardonnay is rich in history with many chateaux and ancient villages to visit. One highlight only ten minutes away is the medieval village and castle of Brancion with history dating back to the 7th century and buildings still standing from the 12th century. There are also imposing views from the church that still has its original frescos.
